FAST.KTM – The Wild Side Tour is an exciting, facilitated tour introducing riders and 4×4 enthusiasts to the North-Eastern parts of Southern Africa into Mpumalanga, up the side of the Kruger National Park, and into the game farm areas of Bela Bela in the Southern parts of Limpopo. The perfect opportunity to not only see and experience our beautiful country but also improve your riding skills and expand your network of like-minded people.
FAST.KTM Alberton
The 4 day/3-night expedition will start and end at FAST.KTM travel through Mpumalanga and Limpopo via some of the most beautiful mountain passes and bush areas you may never have visited before.
Two guides and a support vehicle will accompany you over the 1320km expedition and Green, Orange and Red route GPS tracks will be provided to you for download onto your Garmin GPS’s or mobile App device. The green & Orange routes are pillion friendly if riders are experienced and the lodge accommodation is both comfortable and welcoming. Enjoy an included breakfast and dinner to start and end your day of adventuring.
You can expect to be challenged and your riding skills taken to the next level, but we guarantee an experience you’ll be talking about for long after the trip is over.
Registration, coffee, and a muffin at 08:30 am – clutch out at 09:00 sharp. Traveling via Bronkhorstspruit and the Loskop Dam nature reserve, with a lunch stop in a little area know as Kranspoort. After lunch, we continue heading east passed Stoffberg and ending the day in Tonteldoos.
Breakfast at 7.30am – clutch out at 8:15am sharp. Heading towards Lydenberg then up and over the Long Tom Pass. On arrival in Sabie, we will stop off at the famous Woodsmans Resturant for coffee and a light snack. From here the tracks will split, with the Orange and Red following the Sabie river up north near the Kruger fence cutting through many fenced game farms, and the Green heading towards Graskop then through the breath-taking Blyde River Canyon area. After all the distance traveled today, everyone will end off in Hoedspruit.
Breakfast is at 7:30am – at 8:15am sharp. Heaps of exciting mileage to cover today. We cut through the middle of the Lourene Game Reserve stopping off at the old bush street town of Leydsdorp Hotel for a coffee. Further on you will have the opportunity to stop off at the Letaba Junction, whilst sitting on the deck looking over the Letaba river watching the Hippos and crocs swim by. From here we head up into the majestic Magoebaskloof mountains. Lunch will be in Haenertsberg. After lunch we pass through the Zion Moria area just outside Polokwane then through Zebediela behind the Doomdraai Dam Nature Reserve onto the Mhara Lodge close to Mookgophong.
Breakfast is at 8am, followed by a game drive and a visit to the exclusive wild cat enclosures before we leave the Lodge – then clutch out at 10am. We will be traveling mostly on tar, through the Waterberg mountain range, Moogophong and the holiday resort town of Bella-Bella. Shortly after that we will be passing Hammanskraal and heading home towards JHB.
